Terms of Use

Rules for using Socket and the services you connect to it.

Effective Date: March 10th, 2026

Last Updated: October 4th, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Socket application and related services (collectively, the "Service") provided by Stedfast Softworks LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher) to use the Service. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

2. Account Registration

To use certain features of the Service, you must create an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or pose a security risk to the Service or other users.

3. Description of the Service

Socket is an AI-powered automation platform that allows you to create and run automated workflows ("Arcs") using AI agents. The Service includes the ability to connect third-party services ("Links"), add specialized AI capabilities ("Plugins"), and manage automation workflows through a conversational interface.

The Service relies on third-party AI providers to power its agents. The quality, speed, and availability of AI agent responses depend on these third-party providers and may vary. We do not guarantee specific outcomes from any automation.

4. Subscriptions and Billing

4.1 Free and Paid Tiers

The Service offers a free tier with limited capabilities and paid subscription tiers (Core and Reactor) with expanded access. Feature availability and usage limits for each tier are described within the application and may be updated from time to time.

4.2 Watts

Usage within the Service is measured in Watts, an internal unit that represents computational resources consumed by your automations. Each subscription tier includes a monthly Watt allocation. Additional Watts may be purchased as Surge Packs. Unused Watts do not roll over between billing periods unless explicitly stated for your tier.

4.3 Payment and Renewal

Paid subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, depending on your platform. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date. Pricing is subject to change with notice as required by the applicable app store policies.

You can manage your subscription and cancel at any time through your device's app store settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You retain access to paid features until then.

4.4 Refunds

Refunds are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play Store in accordance with their respective refund policies. We do not process refunds directly.

5. Connected Services (Links)

The Service allows you to connect third-party services through Links. By connecting a third-party service, you authorize Socket to access and interact with that service on your behalf, within the scope of the permissions you grant. You are responsible for understanding and complying with the terms of service of any third-party service that you connect to.

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or functionality of third-party services. If a third-party service changes its API, terms, or availability, your automations that depend on it may be affected.

6. User Responsibilities and Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights
  • Send spam, phishing messages, or other unsolicited communications through automated workflows
  • Create automations that harass, abuse, or harm other individuals
  • Attempt to circumvent usage limits, rate limiting, or access controls
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
  • Use the Service to generate content that is illegal, defamatory, or infringes on intellectual property rights
  • Resell, sublicense, or commercially redistribute access to the Service or its AI capabilities

You are solely responsible for the automations you create and the actions your AI agents take on your behalf. You should review the outputs and actions of your agents, particularly for tasks with significant consequences.

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our IP

The Service, including its software, design, branding, documentation, and all related intellectual property, is owned by Stedfast Softworks LLC and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any ownership rights in the Service.

7.2 Your Content

You retain all rights to the data, content, and materials you provide to or create through the Service ("Your Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process Your Content solely as necessary to provide the Service to you. This license terminates when you delete Your Content or your account.

7.3 AI-Generated Outputs

Content generated by AI agents through the Service ("Outputs") is provided to you for your use. We do not claim ownership of Outputs. However, due to the nature of AI systems, similar or identical Outputs may be generated for other users. We make no guarantees of uniqueness or exclusivity of any Output.

8. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We do not warrant the accuracy, reliability, or completeness of any AI-generated outputs. You acknowledge that AI agents may produce incorrect, incomplete, or inappropriate results, and that you are responsible for reviewing and verifying all outputs before relying on them.

We are not responsible for any actions taken by third-party services connected through Links, or for any data loss, damage, or other harm resulting from the use of connected services.

8.1 Physical Projects

Some Arcs plan physical work: wiring, ventilation, cutting, lifting, working at height, heat, and pressurised or flammable materials. Socket flags hazards it can recognize and adds a step to deal with them before the work, but it is not a substitute for a qualified electrician or other licensed trade, for local building and electrical code, or for the manufacturer's instructions for any product you use.

Hazard flagging is best-effort and incomplete by design: it reads the words in your plan and the parts in your list, so a hazard nobody wrote down is a hazard Socket cannot see. A plan with no flags on it is not a plan we have certified as safe. We do not check your jurisdiction's requirements, and we never tell you a project is safe to attempt.

You decide whether to do the work. You are responsible for obtaining any permit or inspection your jurisdiction requires, for using the right protective equipment, and for engaging a licensed professional where the law or your own judgement calls for one. Parts, quantities, prices and availability shown in a plan come from third-party sources and may be wrong or out of date; confirm them before you buy or build.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, STEDFAST SOFTWORKS LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF PROFITS, OR BUSINESS INTERRUPTION.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU HAVE PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Stedfast Softworks LLC, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or related to: (a) your use of the Service, (b) your violation of these Terms, (c) the automations you create and the actions your AI agents take on your behalf, or (d) your violation of any third-party rights.

11. Dispute Resolution

Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by American Arbitration Association in accordance with its rules, except that either party may seek injunctive relief in a court of competent jurisdiction. The arbitration shall take place in the State of Delaware. You agree to waive any right to a jury trial or to participate in a class action.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

13. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of material changes through the application or by email at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you should discontinue use of the Service.

14. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting your account through the application settings. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms, with or without notice.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including Sections 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12) shall survive.

15. General Provisions

Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Stedfast Softworks LLC regarding the Service.

Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

Waiver. Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

Assignment. You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction.
